HR Performance Management
Gropay created, implemented and tracked a performance management system for a fast growing international PSP. The PSP had staff located over a number of international locations. This required the implementation of local human resource laws, policies and procedures while integrating into an overall corporate model. We defined core competencies for the organization, created generic role profiles and documented HR processes and policies. We have created and implemented a payments strategy for several large private and publicly listed merchants. For several large merchants we have served across the years as an ad-hoc on demand advisory on payment related matters to the Board and Executive Management. Our advise and consulting has ranged from payment partner selection, PCI compliance, tax compliance, new product and business development.
For several startup merchants we have implemented end to end payment functionality. This has included operational and technical architecture in the merchant product, payment partner selection, negotiation and integration, payment user interface management, accounting and reconciliation.
Venture Capital Support
For several large global VC and private equity firms we have advised on valuation and due diligence for investments into the payment eco system. Transactions from the VCs have been in the several billion dollar range.
Gropay provided legal advisory services to the largest publicly listed Scandinavian technology service provider to e-commerce firms. In this project we reviewed all payment supplier contracts and advised both from a legal and commercial perspective. Key areas of focus were data protection, privacy regulation, contractual indemnification and liability.
Sales And Marketing
We advised and supported our client’s marketing and sales strategy and execution for several leading PSPs. This included strategies to improve sales channel performance to increase revenues. Gropay advised on optimizing overall channel structures and ways to ensure coherent customer experiences across multiple verticals in the payments B2B market. We supported clients in developing go-to-market approaches for brand positioning, content, media, social media, and digital marketing. We offered advice on branding and media approaches, but also recommended ways to optimize the spend on marketing to maximize ROI.
Gropay worked with a number of payment supplier clients to help differentiate their product portfolios. We outlined which new services and solution would generate long term revenues and margins. Gropay also implemented improvements to the core business and growth in adjacent services. We looked to increase revenues and profits from new services, as well as to manage product lifecycle and innovation processes. Gropay built on deep insights along the value chain to support changing customer needs, helping our clients differentiate their products and services.
For an international Payment Service Provider (PSP) and Visa MasterCard principal member acquirer, Gropay set up a complete office in the centre of Amsterdam to support the company’s global growth. Gropay’s services included finding a suitable office location for the client, managing all logistics related to the lease of the office and in furnishing it appropriately to the client’s brand. Gropay subsequently recruited on behalf of the client all the staff for the office including Sales, Product Management and Marketing staff. Gropay managed the day to day HR and operational management of these staff.
